Mont-Gaussier’s Via-cordata

Description of the activity

The Via-Cordata from Mont Gaussier to Saint Rémy de Provence offers an exceptional view of the Alpilles (overlooking the archaeological site of Glanum) and the surrounding area. On this outing, we’ll be walking along a steep path leading up to the ridges before moving on to cabled passages in complete safety, with our feet well off the ground! In a sublime natural setting with a 360° panorama and under the watchful eye of the wild goats and birds on the cliffs, come and take on a challenge that’s as sporting as it is natural!

+++ At the end of this Adventure Course, a dizzying 40m abseil awaits you. Will you take the plunge?

An ideal outing for families or friends, even beginners. This is a “level 2” outing, which means that it requires a reasonable level of vertigo, but no previous climbing or via-ferrata experience. Some of the safe roped passages are made with the feet on ledges nestling 30m high, making these moments aerial. The final 35m abseil is not compulsory, but if you don’t want to do it, you’ll miss the last roped passage. However, access is possible for those aged 9 and over, and the outing is accessible without experience. Contact me for details.

The Via-Cordata du Lac outing is less aerial and “level 1” for information purposes.

The route lasts 3 hours.

Bring hiking clothes: light hiking shoes or trainers if you don’t have any / Trousers are preferable to shorts / Rucksack with 1/2L of water per person.

All the necessary equipment is provided. Binoculars can be borrowed from the Parc Naturel Régional des Alpilles.
